Get people interested in your profile photos

Get people interested in your profile photos
You have filled out your profile page and the only thing left to do is choose profile pictures. It’s not as easy as you may think. A picture is worth a thousand words, and you want those words to convey the right message to your potential matches.

Here is some advice from us at AmorDating for how to get people interested in your profile pictures.
2-4 pictures are perfectWe know you want to show your potential matches that you look great in your party outfit, gym outfit, casual clothes and that awesome Halloween costume, but around three pictures is perfect to make a first impression. Uploading too many pictures sends the message that all you care about are your looks. Leave the photo album for later!

"Photos from your travels, or photos showcasing your personality and interests are always a great way to go. "

No "selfies"Seriously, selfies are a big NO-NO when it comes to online dating profile pictures. And, while we’re at it: no “duck face” or “Schwarzenegger” poses as well. It’s always better to have normal photos of yourself than photos that suggest you spend way too much time in front of the mirror. Choose a mixture of photos: have a portrait as well as a full-body picture. Photos from your travels, or photos showcasing your personality and interests are always a great way to go.

Flattering photosThis may sound contradictory to our previous advice, but we just want to make sure your pictures reflect you in the best light. Avoid any photos with you wearing excessive makeup, weird-angles or in which you are very dressed up. The photo should be clear, but not too perfect, so it looks like your CV picture. Also, if you are taking a photo in your apartment, make sure to check what’s in the background!

Do not alter picturesTry to avoid cropping pictures, especially cropping people as it is usually easy to tell when pictures have been altered. Also, people may suspect you’ve cropped an ex from your picture. Remember, new start, new picture!

"The way you are now is great, and your potential matches should see it."

It’s okay to include friends in a photoHowever, be moderate. You can include pictures with a friend, but most of the pictures should be just you. Photos with lots of people in them could lead to confusion and may make it difficult for people who don’t know you to pick you out.

Use current picturesMake sure your pictures reflect you as you look now. Do not post a great picture from high school five years ago! The way you are now is great, and your potential matches should see it. Also, if you meet in person, your match needs to be able to recognise you.
